SLIMED

You're a blob of slime. The goo underneath you is rising and it doesn't stop. The only way out is up.

You climb by jumping between platforms that get scribbled in and rubbed out while you're standing on them. Everybody who plays gets the same climb on the same day, so when you drown at 47 metres you can open the leaderboard and find out exactly who didn't.

Pick a slime, then work out its trick

All four of them jump the same. What's different is what happens when you hit jump a second time in mid-air. You can tell them apart by shape.

SLIME
Scratches a platform into thin air underneath itself.

JUMPER
Just jumps again, and steers a lot better once it has.

ROCKET
Lights up and keeps climbing for as long as you hold the button and the fuel holds out.

GRAPPLER
Throws a rope and swings off it, and you can chain swings together once you get the timing.

All four run off the same tank of ink, and it only refills while you're stood on something solid. Run dry halfway up and you're a falling blob like everyone else.

Controls

A and D to move. SPACE to jump. SPACE again in the air for your slime's trick. Touch works fine if you're on a phone.

It takes a few goes

Your first run ends around 30 metres and you'll think you've seen it. Somewhere around the fifth it clicks, when you stop staring at the platforms and start watching how fast the goo is climbing behind you.

New climb every day. Yesterday's best gets put in the jar.

The Slimejar

Two jars sit either side of the menu with 250 slots between them. One slime goes in per day, forever, and it's whoever climbed highest that day so long as they got past 200 metres and were signed in at the time. Miss the bar and nobody gets in. Nobody gets in twice either.

Bring people

Share a code and up to four of you climb the same tower at once. The second anyone drowns it's over, and whoever is highest at that moment wins it.

What's in the demo

All of it is free, there's no account and nothing to install. You get Slime and Jumper, the daily leaderboard and the races. Rocket and Grappler are in the full game, and so is actually getting your slime into the jar.
